Glaxo Wellcome v Clifton FC
With another week without a league game the management arranged a friendly with league 2 contenders Glaxco to keep the boys sharp.
The changing rooms had a good vibe although players were getting there in drips and drabs because of either not finding the place,not having change for the parking meter or in Lendogs case chatting up the local young talent by trying negotiate a sticky fingers session in the car park after the game!! Reevsey was a bit disappointed that there was no place to get any grub pre match but was soon shot down by the Gaffer with " I don't think it will harm u missing a few meals!!"
Pre match was relaxed with Duncan making a top entrance but flying down the slide at the side of the pitch!
Game kicked off and although it was a narrow pitch we moved the ball around well and was finding space. It was obvious we were up for the game and we were soon 1 up after a top strike from Hoops. The game was played at a good pace with lots of pass and move with us dominating the game all over the pitch. To go into detail on every goal or good move would go on a bit and I want to keep Stotty interested.
Goal scorers were..Hoops,Stotty,Lendog, Scott×2,Andy and Alberto. There were a handful of what would have been tutu contenders with Albertos hand of God goal line save,My death ball pass back Andys open goal miss,Ricks miss but all in all was prob our best performance as a team.
After all thoring out in the shower we hit the boozer to sink a few with some of us making a night of it.
Footballing and non footballing highlights were... * Dunc's slide entrance, * Lendog doing is stuff with the birds and getting a date to see 1D, * Rent a crowd shouting "Come on u oranges" from the road above the pitch.

* Lendogs face after Shaun told him he'd played a 5 aside tournament in his words "still very much high on acid " * Rick dumping the old banana boots, * Duncan bumping into his long lost brother in the pub after, * Albertos dance moves on the night out!
Proper Saturday can't wait for next week.
